Skillet reveal their heavier — and more personal — side, and in the summer of 2027 they return to Budapest Park.

Skillet are truly in their element: this year's European tour was the most successful of their career to date, and their latest single, "Scream", has already passed 7 million streams.

Their forthcoming EP, After the Storm, presents a band at the height of its powers — opening a new chapter with their most vulnerable and most hopeful material yet, while their heavy sound marks a simultaneous return to their roots. And it's this Skillet, riding a wave of momentum, that we get to welcome back to Budapest once again on 29 July, at Budapest Park!

The announcement comes during one of the most successful periods of Skillet's nearly three-decade career: the band averages 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and their six-times-platinum anthem "Monster" has surpassed 5 billion global streams. The track earned a place in Spotify's Billions Club, making Skillet the first Christian act ever to enter that "club". Their European tour this year drew the largest international audience in the band's history. Over the summer, with perfect timing, they released "Scream" and then "Lift Me Up", while also announcing that their six-track EP, After the Storm, would arrive in October.

The EP was produced by David Cowell (Sleep Theory) and the band's own Korey Cooper. After the Storm is at once a return to Skillet's heavier musical roots and one of their most personal creative statements. It was inspired by periods of betrayal, grief, perseverance and, ultimately, hope; on the EP, frontman John Cooper writes from one of the most vulnerable points of his career.

"After the Storm is special to me because it revives what Skillet has always been meant to do: make music that helps people find their way out of dark times," says Cooper. "I wrote these songs because I needed them to lift me out of my own darkness, too."

With more than 23 million albums sold, two GRAMMY® nominations, a Billboard Music Award, three Top 5 debuts on the Billboard 200, and appearances across the NFL, WWE, ESPN and Marvel, Skillet continue to grow an audience that spans generations.
